Laurent Stalder is a full professor at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich as of 2018. The main focus of his research and publications is the history and theory of architecture from the nineteenth to the twenty-first centuries where it intersects with the history of technology. His main publications include Hermann Muthesius 1861–1927: Das Landhaus als kulturgeschichtlicher Entwurf (2008), Der Schwellenatlas (2009), Fritz Haller: Architekt und Forscher (2015), Architecture/Machine (2017), and Architectural Ethnography (2018).
