SettingsAccept allRefuse allUrsula Bünzli–Trepp (b. 1943) obtained her diploma in chemistry in 1967 at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zürich (ETH-Z), with a diploma thesis in synthetic organic chemistry performed under the supervision of Prof. D. Arigoni. She received her Ph.D. at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in 1971 under the auspices of Prof. H. Dahn and Prof. H. Moll, with a thesis on reaction mechanisms in organic chemistry. From 1971 to 1973, she did postdoctoral work in the field of alkaloid syntheses with Prof. J.P. Kutney at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. After another year at ETH-Z as scientific collaborator of Prof. O. Jeger, she joined the editorial office of the journal Helvetica Chimica Acta in 1975 where she is still active as an assistant editor. Ursula Bünzli–Trepp is a member of the Advisory Subcommittee of IUPAC’s Division of Chemical Nomenclature and Structure Representation.
