ARZHANTSEVA GOULNARA
Goulnara Arzhantseva completed her PhD, on generic properties of finitely presented groups, in 1998 at the Moscow Lomonosov State University under the supervision of Alexander Yu. Ol'shanskii. Since then, she has been working at the University of Geneva, most recently as an associate professor on a Swiss National Science Foundation professorship. Her early works on random groups evolved into the so-called Arzhantseva-Ol'shanskii method and more recent results concern coarse embeddings of graphs and groups into Hilbert and Banach spaces.
